Saturday, August 3rd, we boarded our flights and arrived in Dublin, Ireland, on Sunday morning. It took us 2 hours to get through customs to enter Ireland. We left the terminal and boarded a double decker air coach bus for Trinity College where we got off and walked about 15 minutes to our hotel. It was very nice and very accommodating.
This is my husband, Chuck, and me.
We were all hungry, so we walked to a nice little spot, Davy Byrnes, for an Irish breakfast.
After having that great cup of coffee we walked back to the hotel, washed up and took naps.
Our small group met in the hotel bar for a glass of wine.
We met in the hotel bar for a nice glass of wine. Then we went downstairs to meet our tour group of 28 people and our guide, Stephen McPhilemy. After a few introductions we had a short orientation walk to Christ Church and ate dinner as a group at the Copper Alley Bistro. Chuck and Mike had lamb shank. Dave and I had Guinness stew. Kanene and Connie had salmon. Delicious! Then we were on a walking tour down O'Connell Street and the Temple Bar area before heading back to the bar for a little Guinness.
